Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE) is a way of obtaining diplomas made possible by the Social Modernization Law of January 17, 2002. EnsIIE awards 2 diplomas listed in the National Directory of Professional Certifications (RNCP), which it can therefore grant through VAE:

  • Title of Engineer graduated from the National School of Computer Science for Industry and Business (RNCP record no. 4366)

  • Title of Engineer graduated from the National School of Computer Science for Industry and Business, specializing in computer science, in partnership with the Institute of Engineering Techniques for Industry (ITII) of Île-de-France (RNCP record no. 4553)

STAGES OF VAE

Eligibility

Any person who has exercised for a minimum of three years, cumulatively or continuously, a professional activity, whether salaried, non-salaried, or voluntary, related to the skills and knowledge developed by ensIIE’s engineering degree. To initiate this stage, the documents to be provided include a CV and work certificates.

Feasibility

The head of the VAE service or a designated person among the school's research professors reviews the documents submitted by the candidate (CV, work certificates, etc.), to validate the relevance of the application. After an exchange or interview with the candidate, the appointed expert provides a reasoned opinion, either favorable or not, regarding the continuation of the process.

VAE Portfolio

Once the process is accepted, the candidate must submit a portfolio demonstrating their skills, knowledge, and abilities related to ensIIE’s engineering degree. The content of the VAE portfolio should enable the jury to assess the candidate's level of mastery of capabilities and competencies. To assist in this process, the candidate may be supported by a research professor from the School. This methodological support is offered by the School only if the feasibility opinion is favorable.

VAE Jury

The jury members analyze the candidate's request based on the VAE portfolio and an oral presentation. At the end of this process, the jury decides either on the full validation of the diploma, partial validation with mention of elements to be acquired, or a reasoned refusal that ends the process. In the case of partial validation, the jury defines the organization and content of additional requirements. A second jury assesses, upon completion of these requirements, whether the requested diploma is obtained or not.
