The Institute of Computer Science for Business (IIE) was established within the Cnam in 1968. The decree creating ensIIE was published in July 2006. ENSIIE is designated as a public administrative institution (EPA), with the financial and human resources and decision-making capabilities necessary to adapt and evolve in order to better meet the expectations of its students and the needs of companies.

Description de l’événement
The degree has been recognized by the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieurs (CTI) since 1972 for initial training and since 1994 for continuing education. The main recruitment has been through the Centrale-SupElec competitive exam since 1974. The initial cohort size of 25 students has gradually increased to 60 in 1984 and 75 in 1985. The decision to raise the number of places to 135 was made in 1988.

Since 1973, IIE engineers have formed the Association of IIE Engineers (A3IE), which aims to promote the degree, maintain a flow of communication among its members, and contribute to the dynamism of an information network between the school and companies.

Facility in Évry

The number of engineers graduated up to 2011 is 2,800. The IIE was initially located in the Paris premises of CNAM on Rue Saint Martin. Since 1984, the school has been situated in Évry, in the city center, between the Town Hall and the Prefecture, near the Évry-Courcouronnes RER D station.

ensIIE becomes an EPA (Autonomous Public Administrative Establishment) under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, established by decree on August 1, 2006. ensIIE has an agreement with the University of Evry Val d’Essonne that allows for the pooling of resources and synergy in teaching and research.

Since September 2011, ensIIE has been an "associated school" of the Institut Mines-Télécom. Its integration into the largest group of engineering schools specialized in ICT and Computer Science now ensures its national and international recognition.

The Resource and Innovation Center of ensIIE, located in Évry and certified by Cap Digital, is dedicated to innovation in the video game sector. The C-19 is a cluster that includes a training and research hub, as well as an entrepreneurship hub comprising a pre-incubator and a business center spanning 2,000 square meters, along with the TSP-TEM-ENSIIE incubator on the Évry campus.

Signature of the Industrial Analytics and Machine Learning (IDAML) chair based at the Borelli Center of ENS Paris-Saclay in Gif-sur-Yvette, led by Mathilde Mougeot, a teacher-researcher at ensIIE. The main objective of this chair is to develop scientific expertise in data science driven by industrial applications presented by the chair's partners.
