The New Town was an urban adventure... On May 20, 1965, the creation of the New Town was decided to "decongest" Paris and provide residents with public facilities and nearby jobs, in order to avoid "dormitory suburbs." Five new towns and seven new departments were established, including Évry.

Since the 1970s, Évry has been a true laboratory of urban planning, the result of architectural utopias that place it on the international stage. The modern and the old coexist in a harmonious space that continues to renew itself. The history of Évry is etched in stone. So, embark on a journey to discover its heritage!

"Dynamic city, it stands out as a leading economic hub at the national level."

Evry is at the heart of a region with 500,000 residents and 250,000 jobs. As a dynamic city, it asserts itself as a leading economic center in the country, thanks to a rich economic fabric. Doing business in Evry means benefiting from the significant advantages of a rapidly developing area on the outskirts of Paris. It hosts major corporations such as SNECMA, Carrefour Worldwide, Accor Worldwide, CNES, ArianeSpace, and Genopole.

Evry offers a wide variety of sports facilities, including numerous gyms, a swimming pool, an ice rink, and various sports clubs. The city is also home to many cultural facilities, such as theaters, libraries, media libraries, cinemas, and performance halls.

Open to all cultures, Evry is also a territory of spirituality where all religions coexist.

Within a few hundred meters, Evry brings together the only cathedral built in the 20th century, the second-largest mosque in France, a synagogue, several places of worship for Protestant and Catholic communities, and soon, the largest pagoda in Europe, which will serve as the European headquarters for the Vietnamese Buddhist Congregation.

Founded in 1968 within the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts, the Institute of Computer Science for Business (IIE) was initially located in Paris, within the CNAM facilities. In 1984, the school was relocated to the new town of Évry, where it benefited from larger premises, allowing for an increase in the number of students to over 140 today. In 2006, significant renovations were undertaken to modernize and expand the school's facilities. Since 2011, ENSIIE has been an associated school of the Institute Mines Télécom and shares infrastructure in Évry with the nearby campuses of Télécom SudParis and Télécom Business School; it also has partnership agreements with the University of Évry.

The campus facilities provide students with modern amenities tailored for education: 7,714 m² of net usable space, 14 classrooms totaling 970 m², 5 auditoriums with a total area of 946 m², and 10 laboratories.
